Finally, here it is!! A tutorial about how to make a creature from solid borosilicate glass rods (no tubing)! I have spent a lot of time on this, trying to make it as clear as possible so that anyone can make a creature.
Please make a note in your Paypal payment telling me what e-mail address to send the file to. I will do my best to get the tutorial out within a few hours of purchase so you will have it right away!
This tut is a 2.2mb PDF file with 46 pages and a bajillion photos...ok, maybe not a bajillion, but there are 87 pictures and when I was editing them it felt like a bajillion ;) The layout is extremely simple and the whole tutorial is black and white except for the photos, in the hopes that it will be as easy to print as possible, if you choose to do so.
I wrote this tutorial with the assumption that many people using it will have never used borosilicate glass before. I have info about proper seals, color, clear sizes that I commonly use, etc. Then I go into how to make the creature with photos to highlight everything from beginning to end.
You should have a torch with a decent oxygen supply to use this tutorial. It can be done on a minor with one oxygen concentrator with some adjustments that are noted in the tut, but it is painfully slow on a set-up like that. Ideally, you will be able to run a small torch at near full capacity.
I have a few words in this tut about the dreaded "copying" subject, but the gist is: make creatures! Sell them, keep them, give them away!! Do whatever you like with the information :)
Along with this tutorial I offer lifetime support through e-mail. I am always here for my students and I also love hearing their progress!!
Thanks so much and enjoy!!
